I started programming the BBC Micro in the mid-1980s. I was coming up to 10 and made some teletext animations. Since then, I've done all sorts of programming but spend most of my time either programming web-based Javscript/HTML/PHP applications or Java applications.

While I was working as a research fellow I worked on various EU-funded projects, and an important outcome of these is the OpenIMAJ software, which is an open-source library for image, video and audio analysis. This software won the open-source competition at ACM Multimedia 2011.

I'm now working as a senior developer, in an agile test-driven development environment on all sorts of Java and Javascript apps.

On the pages below you can find some more of the software I've written that I'm making available here as open-source. (The ones without links are still to be made available)
